After trying numerous places i think i will settle for clock location, the two gauges (plus stands) fit perfectly in the recessed area and i can use the original clock wiring for power/illumination etc.....I tried pillar pods (hate them) and gauge cluster pods (hate them even more) and couldnt figure anywhere else suitable...i'm now without a clock but i figure oil temp/pressure is more important than time any day

I prefer the gauge bezel by the steering wheel. (EDIT: But I haven't tried it in front of the clock)

They look good in the Si because the bezel pods dont obscure the OE temp/fuel gauges whereas in the ITR they do...i borrowed a cluster bezel and half the temp and fuel gauges were covered by the pods...didnt like that at all.

I didnt angle them towards me as they can be clearly read facing directly forward. Blue R I just noticed today as it was dull/cloudy that they reflect of the windscreen and its pretty annoying. I never noticed it before as it was bright and sunny and its not noticeable at night either...i dont know if i'll just get used to it or if i should get some form of cowl to put over the top of them, i was looking at some dual gauge pods on ebay and i reckon if i got one and cut the front of it open and mounted it over the top of the guages then it should improve things, i just dont know how it would look.

mugen - yeah with the insert I used they also reflect a bit at night. All they need is a little cover over the top, or maybe try angling them down a bit.
You should try facing those gauges towards the driver side instead of straight back. Thats my biggest pet peeve to have gauges that face away from the driver...
