Default Prelude Price. Good or Not?

Found a 2000 Silver Base model (5sp) with 22k miles for $17,400 sticker at a Honda dealer, talked down to $15,500. Car is Carfax clean one owner, and all vins accounted. Is this a good price or not? And what do you all think about Honda Certified cars worth it or load of sh*t?

that car should have been bought already. that is definately a good price for a lude with low miles. Make sure you check the car out! when i bought mine i forget to get the key for the wheel locks and they said they didn't have. well that just goes to show they never even visually checked my brakes. i was pissed and demanded new wheel locks and key and another inspection done on it. new fluids and everything. they did cause they know that could have been a law suit. dealerships are required by state law to do an inspection and they didn't even check my brakes. they complied with my demands and haven't had a problem with that since. grab that car and fall in love with it like the rest of us did on this site!

dealer said he would take 500 off with no Honda certification. worth it or no? Kind of sounds fishy. Is honda certification worth it? ~thanks in advance

if you don't buy that car, i will.

Buy it man, that price you talked down to is ridiculously right for it, warm that bitch up and do some vtecing to see if there are any oil, vtec salenoid or other problems. Shift through all gears, check oil, trans oil.

not all warranties cover **** man, just get it with the $15000 he is offering now.

Like i said check the stuff and you should be fun and after that we can help you out with the stuff that may be wrong, besides shouldn't this car have everything inspected...ask them for the final inspection report. That report is a law thing and it must be documented.

Good luck and post pictures bish.

not really. It depends on the monthly sales forecasts, they meet a minimum thus they charge what they charge.

Don't be a cheap ***.

The blue book value of that car is $16,300. I would be surprised if you could get the price down much lower, regardless of when you bought it.

edit: ok, link to the actual car value doesn't work. click 'used cars' and look up the suggested retail value yourself

The price is great! but the only bad things is that the insurance is high depending on where you live...
