New tires for the GS-R *PICS*
After reading so much about the ES100's, I decided to purchase a set for myself. Got them from TIRERACK for 263 bucks shipped. It came in 2 days! The customer service guy even called me to confirm the purchase and gave me advice on the 195/50/15's. He said due to the lower profile, I'll need to put in 36PSI on the tires. Does this seem correct? My car is a 98 GS-R on stock blades. Any inputs on the price, tirerack, 36PSI on 50 series, or about the ES100's would be gladly appreciated!

I bought the same tires from tirerack as well. I run 32 psi on normal driving with no complaints. When I run at the track I usually run about 23psi and get good traction. I drive a 96 GSR.

I have the same tires in the same size on my stock 94 GS-R wheels. Great tires. I also got them from Discount Tire Direct. When I ordered them the guy was saying something about the load rating being lower than stock blah blah I said whatever I want them anyway.
You should run the stock tire pressure of 35 front and 33 rear for everyday street use. That 35 is going to up to about 38 anyway while driving so no sense really in worrying about setting them at 36. Just go with the stock tire pressure specs.

I'll have to adjust my toes first before I put them on, my old stockers (michelin XGT) were wearing out from the inside. I would imagine it's negative camber. Hopefully, setting the toes will correct the problem and will not affect my ES100's too much.
