97 accord.... want to swap engine with h22a and switch from auto to Manual.....
I want to get more power out of my 97 accord se... I've made small bolt on mods... but it aint enough, so I want to swap engines, but also want to change from auto to manual.... Have no idea if is possible or should I just get a stick accord....
Ive been wanting to do the same with mine, but after a lot of research I'm not sure it's going to be worth the money. Your best bet may be to just buy a 5-speed if your heart is set on it, or just do the motor swap and be proud you can whoop *** with an auto!
Huh? I think he's talking about WHP. Don't you lose like 10%-15% through the automatic transmission from the flywheel HP?

i dont think any h22 has 205 hp.. the jdm SiR motor puts out 200hp and the Type-S puts out 220hp.. the hp you have when you swap will depend on which h22 you decide to get.. USDM or JDM
it is possible.. i have talked to a couple people who have done it... supposedly you can get the motor, ecu, tranny, and manual swpa for $4k-$4.5k

I just did this in a 91 Accord For a customer. This is just to compare.
He supplied all the parts.
Engine/trans/ecu $2600
Parts for trany conversion $500
Labor for Total instal $1200
Total $4300 aprox.
This Has been the norm as far as pricing. Some times I can even get better prices on the Motor set-up.
