is this sway bar size good? i need dimension of dc2 sway bar
what do you guys think of a 25mm sway bar on a dc2 gsr?
i believe a itr is 22mm
mugen is 26mm?
JDM itr 23mm
skunk2 21mm ( currently have this)
i guess the people who do a lot of track, autoX, or mountain driving are the only ones that can truly give me the best answer to my question in terms of driving style and goals.
i have a beaks kit. do you think it would be a good setup or will it be too big and probably rip off my subframe?
and oh! does anyone know the dimension of the bar? the distance left to right and the length of the arms from where it pivots? thank you!
in response to khelm:
twisty road style driving. i can drive decently well on the curves so i know it's not a matter of my driving style than my car. i just feel that if i can get more oversteer, why not. i can always use my shock settings to compensate for the extra stiffness. i am capable of handling oversteer. already have a 21mm sway bar and still feel understeer or at least i feel i can use more oversteer. stock sway bar was total *** to me b/c i felt a lot of body roll (i wasnt happy with the 14mm). thank you for your input tho
another reason i am thinking of 25mm is because that is about 1 inch diameter and i think my machine shop only has rods in that diameter.

only person that can awnser that question is yourself.
What style of driving are you looking for?
Are you capable of handling over-steer?
Do you have enough under-steer to justify this mod?
Bigger is not always better. It can cause over-steer which can result into bad handling in cornors and loss of control. Personally I would stick with a stock sway bar. The car was designed with that in mind.
But if you are clearly having problems handling your car then maybe that is the mod for you.
Its all about your driving skills and very little to do with the actual car itself.

The eibach set is 24 mm front, as well as 27 mm rear. Nice and stiff...I have no idea who gets these, but, they are available...just fyi.
thanks khelm. i responded in my original post.
to everyone: if i reply, it is usually my way to provide more information about my goals, etc so you guys can better answer my original question. it might come out a little blunt and sounding like an ***, but i am totally sorry. i really respect what everyone has to say..... do i sound hella corny right now? its 420am, finals week, and i am freaking tired lol

Well since your posting in this forum I am assuming you don't have a type r. SO in that case, there isn't really any circumstance where a stock sway bar for non type r integra is better... Not sure what the other guy is talking about. Now he was correct by saying sometimes going too big can be a big mistake especially if you are not ready ie. oversteer. But Something like a skunk2 or suspension techniques might be a good upgrade. Many people have said that the USDM Type R Sway bar is one of the best suspension mods they have done to their car for the money. You can find them for around $75 and you may need the bsq intallation kit, which isnt too much money. Just something to think about.
I too have heard ITR is one of the best sway bars you can put on the car. A buddy of mine had the comptech, he loved it; but i believe he blames it as a result for his.... Mishap.
And I assume you already have aftermarket suspension....?

you might get better responses in the racing/autocross forum, but from what i have read, the 22mm itr bar should be sufficient, even for racing/autocross. i've read a number of threads about the mugen bar, but it seems the general consensus is that those extra 3mm aren't that beneficial. if i was you, i would stick with the skunk2 that you already have, 21mm is sufficient; then again, i don't race my car.

dang I didn't even notice he said he already had a skunk2. Yea I don't think I would worry about bumping it up 1 or 2 mm for another $75-200.
