my friend said thats the good thing to do, put a type r s2 intake manifold in a gsr-eg. i always thought i would put a gsr intake manifold... can any1 confirm this?

You can't put a Type R intake manifold on a gsr head, the stud pattern is different. If you want a good intake manifold, do a AEBS or a Wicked Industries manifold, MUCH better than Skunk 2!!

 

aebs doesn't make a gsr manifold, correct me if i'm wrong

I would stick with the GSR and maybe do alittle porting on it. Look at it this way who has the fastest allmotor 4 cylinder in the world Ericks Racing and what kind of intake manifold do they use Factory GSR. I had a GSR in my EG and i put a JG intake manifold on it I actually lost power by doing that. If I had the chance to do it again I would stick with the stock manifold port it alittle and get my self a good ECU that supported the dual stage Vtec..............
