sup syclone

do you even know if they'll fit in our trannies? this would be a great idea for those of us that are making decent power. i'll always thought about using a LSD out of a lude, the tranny would even be better but the thought of buzzing around over 4,000rpms just crusing just eats me up.

i bought a h23 tranny.. i'm going to take it apart as well as take apart my f23 tranny to see if i can use the 5th gear off the f23 for the h23..

if not, no biggy.. i do mostly city driving in my accord..

my flywheel and clutch are coming in soon.. so it should be in my car by jan. but i'd like to add the lsd.. just can't seem to find one besides aftermarket..

Do a google search for a Quaife LSD, I know I've seen them sold independently.

I know that the F22A 5th gear wouldn't fit in the H22 tranny (I wanted to do that)... I would think that the F23 and H23 might have the same relationship. Maybe not though. If you can compare the shape of the housings before you go digging through the trannys, it might help. If they look the same, then it should fit.

Anyway, finding an LSD sans tranny is tough... And the stock LSDs are used, and not in the best shape. Your best bet is to buy a tranny with one already installed. However, you're still getting the problems associated with a used item.

The Quaife LSD isn't the same as the stock unit. It is a better piece, and would definitely be my recommendation.

yeah.. i know that quaife makes them.. but for 900.. kinda steep..

it's going to be used on a stock engine.. so it doesn't need to handle heavy loads.. just a lot of cornering..

well.. thanks anyway everyone.. if i can't find any, i guess i'll have to step up to the quaife..

to use a jdm oem lsd you need the jdm oem lsd tranny case. the m2b4 tranny that has teh lsd has a larger tranny case than other F/H series trannies.
