No idea where to post.. so it goes here! Orsam Silvber Stars reviewed w/ PICS
Keep in mind that I bought my car brand new in March of 2000. Today is the first time I had changed/touched anything to do with the headlights (read: the stock Halogens in these pics are 4+ years old).

The Osram's don’t give out what I would call a "pure white" light. At least not the same white I'm accustomed to seeing with other aftermarket halogens (i.e. PIAA Ultra-Whites). There is also (thank god) no bluish tint to these lights either. In fact, with the naked eye the light color (or temperature if you want to get technical) is very similar to my stock lights. It’s just that the light output is MUCH greater, especially at the edges. In fact Id say that my forward visibility is MUCH closer to 180*, at least when compared to before. Previously the light beams were much more narrow and focused up front. That’s not to say its less bright at the very front of the car, in fact that too is much brighter, however its not as noticeable as the difference between stock and Silverstar concerning the outer edges of the light cone.
Well there you have it. I know it’s hard to tell from pics, but the Silverstars really do put out a lot more usable light then my old halogens. Of course the only reason why I bought the new bulbs in the first place is because my stock lights were noticeably dimmer then when new, so that’s something to keep in mind. You can draw your own conclusions from all of this. All in all, not too bad for 30 bucks IMO.

The problem is you took separate pics w/ each different type of bulb installed. It's almost impossible to photograph a comparison of headlights in separate pictures. What you need to do is install one of each type of light bulb in each headlight housing and take pics of both types of lights together. That's the only real way to show a comparison.
well you really can tell that there is a large difference in the last 2 pics. check out how much stuff illuminated on the bottom pic VS the one above it.
I can see the difference. The only problem on here is most of the people aren't going to give you credit unless it's some ballin HID retro something or other. For a cheap alternative and "write up" if give you 2

I have Silverstars as well. Ebay's teh way to go, I got a pair for 30 shipped instead of paying out the butt locally. You can tell the color difference in the pics. I lined my car up between an Explorer and a TL (HID) and it's definitely an improvement over stock but still not crazily bright. The color is nice and it ismuch brighter and my visibility improved.

thanks for the replys guys. i can see how you might not notice the difference at first, but that just means you werent looking very close. after having driven with these for a week now, and having been in places with NO street lights, I can tell you that the Osram's so indeed kick major *** in the lighting department. especially the high beams. lights the road up like no other! well except maybe for an HID system, but thats liable to get you pulled over for an underhood inspection in the **** state of Kaleefornia. Woot, go arnold! lol.

As I said before, look at the last 2 pictures. If you cant see that the bottom picture has a much larger visable area due to a brighter/larger light cone, you ae either blind or need to adjust the contrast on your monitor.
