Default Theives

Hey everyone, it is ridiculous that cars are being stolen left and right, everyday. I want to know if it is true that thieves will goto car shows, races, meets, etc. and scope out the vehicles there. Afterwards, they follow the vehicle, and wait until the perfect moment for them, so that they could strike and steal the vehicle. If this is true, how can we prevent this from happening? This kills the vibe of owning the car of your dreams, plus going out to meets and shows knowing that someone might be watching you. I know that you can have a security system (pager alarm), quick release, etc. but I figured if a theif really wants your vehicle, they can always flat bed it.

yup, if the theives want it, they'll take it. It's just a matter of how much security layers you have to slow them down or hopefully they will just give up. Always invest in a good alarm, ignition kill, fuel cutoff switches, quick release, etc...

sucks, but its part of owning an integra.

I was thinking about doing that sometime soon, should really be effective.

How about some type of battery cover/lock also? Like so the thieves won't unplug your battery right away.

Get lo jack, avg time before they find your car is 36 minutes.

Most thieves wait about a day or two and leave the car somewhere and return for it later. If its gone, they know it had lo-jack

I am with you boosteddc4teggy. If they really want the thing they will get it. My best bet is to lock it up in my Garage. It took 2 attempts on mine to learn my lesson. I am just getting tired of all the mess with the thieves. It is making me not want to build our race track here in SD.
