Quick clutch pedal assembly question...
Im doing a manual swap into my 5th gen and i found a clutch pedal assembly in a wrecked 4th gen in the junk yard. Will that work for me? I just didnt know if they were the same.
thanks
thanks
I did a swap and used a 4th gen clutch pedal assembly. The 4th gen brake pedal will not work.
There is also a spacer spot welded to the inside of the firewall that I cut out and used. It reinforces the firewall in the vicinity of the pedal bracket and spaces it properly relevant to the MC. Some folks make their own (not too much work) and some use flat washers as shims which is probably OK as long as you do a good job with the upper mount for the pedal bracket.
I actually used a torch and cut the whole firewall area out of the 4th doner car(it's the same as the 5th gen) including the brake MC fastening holes. That allowed me to not only use the spacer but also by aligning it with the brake MC holes on my 5th it let perfectly locate where the new holes for the clutch MC needed to be.
