Default Gauging/Stirring Interest: AC Hydraulic Jacks Group Buy

Alright, by now I believe everyone is familiar with what AC Jacks are all about but if you're not, here is a link for you:
AC Hydraulic Floor Jacks Link
AC Hydraulic Jackstands Link

AC Hydraulic Home Page

This thread is to gauge & stir some interest in setting up a group buy for AC Hydraulic Jacks & other AC equipment (ex. jackstands).

I have set up similar threads in some local forums and am waiting for more votes to determine whether or not a group buy is do-able.

After a few searches I came up with a few places that have done group buys with Honda-Tech before. If anyone has hookups, knows or has dealt with any places that sell AC Jacks please chime in because I haven't had any success in contacting the following stores via email.

Here are the places I've found:
-Krazed Kustomz
-ASE Deals
-Ultimate Garage (got in touch but difficult to deal with)
-Drive Werks/Pelican Parts

This is still pretty tentative since it's Christmas season & people will have priorities for their pay checks. But if there is enough interest hopefully something can be set up.

As you may know, ASE is already having a sale on them. I contacted them via email successfully recently. Here is another place with a good starting price:

Yes I saw that ASE is having some discounted pricing, I wonder how come they missed my email...

I'll try by phone but only if there is interest for these jacks...

but that is just for reference, I wouldn't be surprised if pricing has changed since then

Then I'm sure you're not in... shipping isn't going to get less than about $40.

I will try to contact ASE & Krazed Kustomz tomorrow or the day after.

Merry Christmas to MEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(DK13HLQ)

This is as high as my car can go without squishing the muffler tip (could go quite a bit higher)...

The Mag Lite is for height reference...

would you mind if I came to you at a later date with some questions about your jack?
there are a few people in this GB who are interested in the 13HLQ but will most likely have some queries...

Feel free to IM me or what ever. Here are a few facts...

1- It weights 80+ lbs.
2- The extended reach of the DK13HLQ has A LOT of leverage over the hydralics & pump handle (hope your in shape )
3- It's got a 2800 lbs capacity.
4- The wheels are composite w/ rubber rings in the center grooves that compress when the jack is loaded (makes it super quiet when pulling around)
5- The thing can lift higher than your car will go without crushing the bumpers.
6- The jack is sooo long that it won't go straight up the convex curve of my inclined driveway without leaving a little blue paint behind.
7- As you can see from the pictures, it's VERY BIG (my wife is a little concerned about storage in our 1 car garage )
8- I can easily fit that thing 2/3 of the way under my front bumper, and my car is very low w/ a Wings West lip...
9- It can be a little akward to manuver around. You have to be pulling the handle into the "release" position, otherwise it will start to lift whenever you tilt it (unlike a standard jack that can be left in the "release" position).

The few negatives are very minor things that can, and will, be quickly overcome by anybody who can apreciate the abilities of such a jack. Good luck to all who purchase this. Once you open it, just take a step back and stare...

Alright of the 4 retailers I have spoken with 2, left a message for 1 & the last (Krazed Kustomz) doesn't sell AC Jacks anymore.

The soonest I will be able to get quotes is into the first week or two of January from All Tire Supply.

I have made it clear that I want this group buy to be finished by the end of January so hopefully it won't be long for them to get back to me.

Just a matter of interest, in this group buy there are a total of 34 people interested in the jacks.
This spans 4 different forums across Canada & USA.

Have a Happy New Year!!

& thnx 94eg! for that info!
It'll help those who want the 13HLQ very much

^^^
I plan on getting some stands as well, 1500N is good enough for me

normal curved top for more rigidity (flat top = slippage if you're doing some hardcore work)
