car cranks but won't start!
I have a 2000 Acura Integra GSR with a JRSC running 6psi. I have stock injectors, stock fuel rail, stock new fuel filter, 255 lph Walbro fuel pump, JRSC FMU, JRSC fuel pressure reg., comptech ice box with air intake, JRSC boost timing controller, JRSC map sensor, MSD plug wires, NGK BKRE7-11 1 degree colder plugs (properly gapped), Tanabe Racing Meddallion exhaust, JRSC a/f ratio guage, fuel pressure guage, and JRSC boost guage. I have 70,xxx mi. on it. My most recent additions are a ACT lightened 9lb. flywheel, ACT street performance organic clutch rated for 200hp, and a skunk 2 short throw shifter. I broke-in the clutch for 500 mi. Ran awesome! So about a month of running with the new clutch/flwheel and shifter. Everything was great. Oh yeah soon after install and double checking everything, I did wash my engine. I left my car running and then covered the dizzy, and air filter, then sprayed degreaser, then sprayed engine with pressure washer from about 2-3 ft. away from engine. Then sprayed engine shine all over. My engine was clean and running top notch. Well about 3 weeks after a big snow storm hits. My car is buried under inches of snow. I leave it and decide not to drive it, and I didn't even try to start it. The snow was on ground for 3 days. Well, I clear my car off and try to start it 3 days later. Doesn't start. It just cranks. I thought it was my fuel. Nope. I checked fuses, nope. I am getting fuel pressure. Checked spark plugs and changed them, nope. Changed cap and rotor nope. Changed coil, nope. A family technician comes to check for spark. No spark! Put dizzy back together a few days later with new cap and rotor, old coil, old spark plugs, boom starts after a few minutes of cranking. Drove it around. Started it a total of three times before heading back home. Get home, bout to leave, same thing no start just cranks. Oh yeah right before it started that same night, it had spark. Now, that it won't start again, no spark. Is it the ignitor, or possibly coil? I chnaged the coil that didn't help. And anyway, when it did start, it had the old coil in it. That just seems weird that it would start for one night, run, and then not start again that same night. I have never changed my battery. But that doesn't seem to be the problem, or could it be that simple? It cranks and cranks just doesn't start. Could a discharged battery cause no spark? Please help. Oh yeah the weather is cold conditions right now where I live.
