One more quick tire question.
Here in my part of Canada autocrossing has only been going on for about 3 years, for next year they have broken us into classes based on tire type. DOT with 200 or less treadwear rating, or DOT with 201 or over. I have decisded that if i run in the under 200 class i will use v700s.
My question is, what would be the best tire for traction (not worried about wear) with a 201 or greater treadwear rating?
Thanks in advance.

201+ creates an interesting dilemma, since it rules out most of the truly sticky street rubber (Falken Azenis, Yok AVS-I, etc). Although it is a really neat idea as far as the rules go - down here the cutoff is usually the 140-160 treadwear range, which only rules out true DOT race rubber.
I would say look at the Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position (220 rating), the Michelin Pilot Sport (220), some of the Yok AVS Sports (220), the Bridgestone Potenza RE730 (300), and the Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 (280).
I have the Kumho 712's because they are the cheapest of the bunch, and they are good, but not as sticky as I had hoped for. I can't say for sure because I haven't owned them, but I'm guessing that the S03's or the Pilot Sports are the stickiest of the remaining available choices.
Hope that helps,
Jon
