Default trouble getting into reverse...

hey, i think i may be doing something wrong i dont know, i have a 2003 accord EX 4cyl 5speed 2door, no big mods yet...

when im trying to put my car into reverse i put it over to the right and try and pull it back into reverse, but the transmision sort of holds me between neutral and reverse and i cant put it into reverse, i have to take it out, put it through some gears and go back and then i can get into reverese, am i doing something wrong?

make sure you're at a complete stop before shifting into reverse.

Slowly start letting out the clutch until it slips into reverse, should work. In other words, have your hand pushing it into reverse as you slowly let out the clutch, and it should go in, let me know if that works.

putting it into first and letting it roll a little bit then go to reverse normally does the trick.

if it gets harder and harder to get into reverse and the slowly letting go of the clutch or going into another gear first doest work it could be a bent shift fork.
