Idle highs, How to adjust idle on gsr engine?
Hey, My gsr engine has been idling very high since i swap it not long ago within a week. Anyways, I been told by numerous people as to where the idle switch is at and for some reasons i don't think they know what they're talking about. I got different places of where the idle should be. so at this point i'm like clueless.
Would someone be so kind to provide a picture of the engine and mark off where the idle switch is at?
Thanks.

dont have a pic but i can tell you the bronze screw inbetween the map sensor and small vacum line on top of your throttle body will adjust your idle.
before u go messing w/ that screw. check your timing, vaccume leaks, check engine light, coolant, ect.. ect...
also if there's a iacv u might want to clean it out and maybe the tb is dirty? run some injector cleaner through it and give it a tune up. make sure to check gap of plugs b4 installing them if there adjustable. i've seen many stating there gapped to a certain spec and been WAY OFF!
make sure u follow timing check/adjustments to the T if u still have high idle, then last resort mess w/ the screw
it's right on the throttle body towards the top...
also check throttle cable play..

Last time I had a high idle "3k" i took apart my intake. Apparentlly i sucked a garage rag up the pipe and it was blocking the throttle body. Hey we all make mistakes.
check the IACV or the FCCV the iavc sits behind the intake maifold and if you have one clean it, and the FCCV sits under the throttle body, and if you have one of those clean that too.
