i dropped my car off last night to get a valve adjustment , well i went to go pick it up this afternoon and was wondering why it looked like they tried to clean my car and was all streaky, , , , well i go to pay and one of the techs i know there was like who egged your car, i thougt he was playin and said stop fukin around, he was like oh you didnt knwo . i went off that no one told me , well i went out to look at it and noticed that they tried to clean it up , but the paint is chipped and cracked underneath the dirver tailight, so i demanded that they repaint the **** at thier body shop, it is under review now, but i went offf. im going back tommorow to look at the tapes from surveilance. its gotta be someone that knows me . there were cars all around me and mine was the only one touched.. . . . . im gonna kill someone when i find out who it is . that is just fucked up . i hate jealous people.

Dood that sucks!!!!!! You may wanna reconsider having it repainted by the dealer, IMHO. They're just gonna do a shitty job to save money since they are doing it for free. My dealer scratched my chin spoiler and when they repainted it it looked like ***. So they had to buy a new one. The outcome was ok cause they could replace it w factory paint but if they're gonna paint ur car they could do a shitty job, like crappy paint work and overspray everywhere. Just to give you a heads up.....nothing is for free.

but anyway , i think they might for the fact that i have spent almost $60K at that dealer in the past 2-1/2 years . . . .i think they are gonna fix it, i went off on the service manager and he is gonna contact the owner of the dealership. if they dont they im gonna make sure to it that they let me see that survailence tape, becuase i know it was someone i know in the area that is pissed cuz they got spanked . or someone from one of the other clubs around , people around here are retards like that .

There is a law, and the law says that they are not responsible for customer vehicles. There should be a sign posted somewhere that mentions that nasty little tidbit. They may fix it just out of good will, since you spent $60k there (on what?!?). But they are not legally required to fix it, because they are not legally responsible for your car or its contents.

But it sucks that your car got egged. Cost my insurance company $2,000 when mine got egged

I'm not sure of the validity of the law that states they are not responsible. Having a mere sign in the dealership shouldn't regate all responsibilites. I am not familiar with American laws, but in Canada, the dealer would definitely be legally responsible.

I think that you can't get them for the damage from the egg, but you can get them on the fact that they were concealing the fact that damage to your car happened on their property. They were neglegent in notifying you to the fact that damage did occur to your car while it was in their possesion and since they got rid of the evidence to the fact that it was indeed due to an egg you have no proof to your insurance company that it was indeed vandalized. You might want to look up a lawyer on this one, but you can probably force them to pay for the damages in court due to neglegence on their part for not notifying you. You can probably also call one of the local news stations and see if they want to do a story on "Damage that occurs to your car while it's at the car dealership that they don't want to tell you. Ugh!! My car got egged awhile ago so I know what you mean. Left littles chips where the egg hit. Sux azz tryin to get it off too.

 

same here... that **** sucks. i was on my way to work and when i went outside i saw my car and it has 2 eggs all over the drivers window and door. it was around 6:30am when its really cold, but i still cleaned that **** up.. sorry to hear that some *** egged your car i still havent found out who egged my car.
