Default dying tires

so today.. im driving likme 70 in teh rain on toh eway home.. and i feel a bit of a fishtail.. like a small sway.. i shurg it off.. and it happens again.. and im like ****.. this isnt good.. so i go to the slower lanes and start driving 50.. and i go to safeway.. (near my house) and buy some sunchips..

anyways.. i check out my tires.. and they are completely bald on the insides.. the outsides are ok.. but the insides are pretty bald...

ive only used them for 5000 miles.. brand new.. kumho supras i think... sigh.. the front are fine.. but the back two are dead

5000 miles good for new tires? mind you its just the inside of the rear two tires

any mods to suspension? Last time FOUR WHEEL alignment was done? (NOT JUST A FRONT END ALIGNMENT) It's a good idea to get an alignment when tires are changed.

yeah i can almost see the lowering kit on your car.... and lemme guess....the shop said they cant align it....

lots of alignment shops are lazy and wont do lowered cars....but it can be done....and dependent upon how low your car is.....possibly you dont need camber kits....

kuhmos are inexpensive for a reason.....they suck......they dont last and dont rly grip very well either....they are inexpensive at least....

i heard kumhos were hard as rock.. and soem people on po.com said they would last about 30k + miles.. i dont know if thats true though

i did get a 4 wheel alighment done, at actually 2-3 different places too.. and i do have a degree of positive camber on the right side of my car.. i just dont understand why both of the back ones would be worn out so .. fast?

ive only had the new tires since like.. august.. but then again 5k miles, i havent autox or anything like that either..

edit.. they tried aligning it (i have ingall camber kits) and they cant seem to get it intu neutral territory either.. they said the body or frame probably has some damage thats causing this .. um.. abnormality? but yeah..

posotive camber would wear out the outside shoulder of teh tire...negative would wear the inside of the tire...you ahve negative...and either depending on your drop, its just probably out of alignment with teh camber...also look for unusial wear on the other parts of teh tread....

as a side note, teh shop thats telling you they cant align it is lieing...and unless your car was hit it should be fine...unless you really smashed the hell out of a road bump, then i wouldnt think anything is bent

You must get an alignment. That tire shop is stupid. Take it somewhere that will do it right. Also try to take the tires back were you bought them, yes it's a long shot but you never know.

I have had Kumho tires for the last 35K and they are still fine. Proper rotation, alginment and tire presure helps.

Your rear toe setting is probably screwed. Go see Darrin at WestEnd Alignment in Gardena and quit wasting your time with bozos at Bob's Tires and Alignment; they don't know dick, and the "we can't align" it line is their way of getting you to buy 2 new tires.
That said, people really should check their pressure weekly (when COLD) to make sure their tires are properly inflated. Also, remember that when the weather changes, your tire pressures will change too; colder = pressure drop; hotter = higher.
And, throw away that camber kit; camber doesn't eat tires, toe does. And setting your toe, has nothing to do w/ a camber kit.
