about 6 months ago I sold a 2000 GSR with 49k miles for $13k (that included Tein SS and i/h/e).

I would say a 1998 GSR with 80k miles should be about $9k for a private party if it's in perfect condition. A dealer will try to get closer to $10k, but you have room for negotiation. A good deal would be $8,000 or less.

It took me a long time to sell it (2-3 months) in Autotrader, I would have sold it bone stock for $12,000, but I sold it with my Greddy Exhaust, DC header, Tein SS, and AEM CAI for $13k. It was in excellent shape, and it was Dark Violet Pearl, tough color to find if you like it. I refused quite a few offers, so just be patient.
