Do I need to replace the knock sensor? I have everything else that I need except the knock sensor and I dont know where I can find a used one at. Is there a way I can use the JDM one? Or does anyone have and OBD II knock sensor?

 

The answer to that is: Yes.

If no other reason than the connector for the OBD-I knock sensor is different than on the OBD-II models.

(I just ran into that this weekend myself.)

 

actually they are all the same thing, just the connectors are differnent, so if you have the proper mating connector, just go and hook up whatever you have.

 

Where can I get the proper mating conector?

 

look around junk yards autozone ebay, do some research and you'll find one

 

It's one wire... just solder it on.
