Default Just getting broken in.

Well today as i pulled up to my office, i look down on the odometer. Low and behold, it reads 100,000 on the button. When i bought it it had 43K, and my Jun head has about 2500 miles on it.

I am the second owner of the car and have had absolutely no problems, just blew an injector once. So far its been a great 2 years with my lude, and many more to come.

I would just like to give a to Honda for building a bullet proof car/motor. All you need is oil, gas, and some neo water wetter and water in the rad and you can drive forever. Its an awesome feeling knowing that your car is that reliable and will get you where you need to go, as fast as you want to get there.

1988 Prelude with over 240,000 mile here! Just put a B20a in it though. Prior owners were not very friendly to her!

Runs like a champ now!!

The jun head is fantastic. Absoultly no complaints.

I usally wash the beast at least once a week. Try to Zaino it every 3 weeks, water beads off like you would not believe. And just keep the service records up to date. Im using Neo 10w30 full synth, not burning any oil if i stay out of vtec. Gas mileage sucks a little due to the built head. Ive always gone with the general idea, to do everything the right way, and not skimp out on anything no matter what the cost. If you have a problem with your car, fix it right away!! dont wait and let other things go wrong. As soon as something didnt run right/ work quite the way i want it to, we fixed it. Speaking of which, its time for new brake pads and possibly rotors.

Make sure your oil is clean, and use some real good fluids and just extend the love to the car, as if it were a family member. Take care if it, and it will take care of you.

I agree, honda really does build some quality motors. I bought my 4th gen at the beginning of last summer. I am the second owner. The first was an older lady who had it as a fun car to drive in the summers only. She has had her share of problems, but they have all been minor and expected problems. Yay for my honda!

Congrats to you, I'm jealous. My 98 has 94,500 miles and I'm burning waay to much oil. II bought mine with 33,000 miles and I've changed oil every 5,000 miles - but 'm pretty sure I've got a bad ring somewhere and I'm going to have to go for a full rebuild of the bottom end.

Its very sad since I don't race and have never over reved, never even hit the rev limiter. Sure I get into VTEC often, but only after the engine is warm, and then shifting around 7300 indicated RPM. I really am disappointed in this - but mine could just be the lemon of the bunch.

98 base, 94,500 miles

If ur going in too vtec often that could be a reason ur burning more oil than u should be.
