I saw this bike for sale, and the price is really good, it fits my current budget and I have been wanting to get a bike so bad for some time, and I figured this should be a cool beginner bike.

Any opinions, comments on it? I searched the web, but found mostly pages of the southeast asia, I believe this bike was not sold there in the US?

I've never seen it before. It looks like a race bike.

 

An '03 two stroke over 50cc wouldn't be street legal in the US. Unless its a track bike, there probably aren't many here, if at all.

 

Theres a bunch of cool small bikes in Asia, both 2smoke and 4stroke. Most of the 4strokes dont make it here because theres no market for them here. "Bigger is better" mentailty and all. In SE Asia even racing with the 100-250cc four strokes is quite common.

The bike pictured in the original post is not available simply because it's a 2stroke over 50cc, and therefore illegal for Kawi to market them here.

It is indeed a 2 stroke bike.

Now...do anyone think it would make a good beginner bike? Or maybe I should search a 4 stroke bike, like a 250cc or 400cc?

Thanks in advance </TD></TR></TABLE>That is a Jap market KR150, makes about 23-25HP unrestricted. Along with other models i.e RG manufacturers moved from 125 to 150cc due to licencing laws. I doubt if you would get one through the US and to be honest for the money they arent worth it.

That's the thing, I'm not in US

Also, they sell these bikes in here.

Keep in mind the powerband may not be as beginner freindly as most 4strokers.

Prolly got adavanced KIPS, standard will be fine

Sorry, but what does KIPS stands for?

 

Its a power valve. To spread out the power band.
