Default Known Trouble Areas, 93 Integra?

I am going to look at a '93 Integra today, and if it is in decent shape I plan to buy it to use as a daily-driver/ HPDE car.

What are some known problem areas for these cars? I am fairly mechanical, and I already have a fairly substantial list of things I always check before a purchase, just curious if there is something to these cars I might miss.

Thanks a lot!

not for the most part, just do the typical check you would. listen for sounds/knocking, that kind of thing. just make sure everything electrical inside the car works, at that age, stuff starts to go wrong.

see if it leaks on the passenger side under the dash (old grommets need to be replaced)
check trailing arm bushings
check if taillights leak
camplug if leaking (like all b-series engines)

basically check everything you would on any car just remember its atleast 11 years old so seals and gaskets might not be the best depending on how well it was maintained.

on your choice of car but i'm biased hehe

not too much major. alternators are known to go after a while, a few leaks and creaks. nothing major. i fixed all the leaks and rattles inside my car the other day. damned winter makes everything show up.

Thanks folks, good stuff so far! Anything else? Do these cars have any bad areas for rust?

I will be going to look at it/drive it/etc here in about an hour. I will report back tonight what happens!

around any/all of the wheel wells are a problem area. around here i actually see a lot of little rust spots on the panel under the hatch by the keyhole.

Well, it turned out to be a wrecked, ugly, overheating, electrical-gremlin-having pile of crap, so needless to say I didn't buy it.

Then one of my buddies called up and sold me his pristine CRX Si for $2000, so the need is gone.

Thanks for the advice, too bad it didn't work out.
