Default mysterious oil on bellhousing

help me out guys.. theres oil that ends up on my bellhousing right where the tranny id # sticker is. it looks like it could be squirting out of the rubber slave cylinder line, so i changed it out. no luck. i've cleaned it with brake cleaner, but it doesnt lead to anything. not a buttload of oil but enough to make me wanna fix it asap. so help me out guys.. to my understanding theres no oil in that side of the tranny so i cant figure it out. help meh!

Is it oil as in motor oil, or is it brake fluid, tranny fluid?

If it's motor oil, maybe look underneath the distributor and see if it's leaking from there. The O-ring in the dist. can go bad and start to leak.

im thinking its clutch fluid or trans fluid.. its too clean to be motor oil. trans fluid smells like **** and this really doesnt have a smell... i looked to see if it was coming from the head but its not. thanks for the suggestion.

What engine? B18C1 like your name says?

Maybe it's leaking from the VTEC valve, pressure switch, or cam plug?

yes it is a b18c1. i checked the cam seal and vtec pressure switch. i think i stated it wrong.. its not a leak that i can trace to the head.. its more of a puddle that forms on the top of the case, right where the front trans mount is and under the slave cylinder line thanks for the help guys.. me and a buddy just went out and checked over the area.. there seems to be a stress crack on the casing. were gonna try a lil jb weld and see if that helps. doesnt look like trans fluid would seep thru there tho
