Accessory belt question for H23 -> H22 swap
My H22A should be arriving in a few days, and I have a question. From my research (yes, I've searched) it looks like I should keep the H22A crank pulley on the motor and use the H22 Alt, H23 P/S, and H23 A/C. So my question is... I assume when replacing the belts I should order a H22A1 Alt belt, H23A1 P/S belt, and H23A1 A/C belt. Does this sound right?
TIA

If you are going to use the accessories that come with the swap (power steering pump, alt.) you need to purchase H22 belts.
The H22 and H23 power steering and AC compressor belts are exactly the same. The ONLY difference between the two is the alternator pulley. The H22's alternator pulley is wider than the H23. So getting all H22 belts will work fine.
If you are going to use your H23 alternator, buy an H23 alternator belt.
Hope this helps.

EXACTLY!!
H22 power steering pumps and AC compressors (92-96) are exactly the same as 92-96 H23 parts.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the alternator/compressor/crank pulley
all run on the same belt.
The H23 crank pulley has 5 ribs, where as the h22 has 6 ribs.
This means that the pulleys on the h22 accessories would have to
have 6 ribs as well.
I don't think your h23 compressor will work unless you get an h22
clutch/pulley for it
Power steering belts are the same though

I am using my H23 compressor with my H22.
Also, I tried a VTEC alternator/AC compressor belt on my H23....it fit the crank pulley and AC comp. pulley perfectly fine, the alternator pulley was the issue.

You are correct, you have to match the alternator compressor and crank pulley. I find it easier to just use the 23 crank pulley. Keep the accessories the same. That way you KNOW they already work. I have seen a few swaps with the compressors switched over and the clutch or field coil on the a/c compressor is badd or takes a **** shortly after just my 2cents.
