I am having problems with my tranny. Its a y80 and im thinking of getting it rebuilt. Would it be wise to go with the JDM final drive or the ATS 4.9. I have read Toms review on it and liked how it sounded. I am into Drag (both street and strip) and i need something that will give me way better acceleration. Also im thinking of throwing in a ITR LSD. If anyone has any info i can use please spill it to me...

Either way, it will be a solid setup.. Most people don't get it due to cost, but if u can, by all means it's worth every penny spent.. Whether u get the 4.785, 4.929 or 5.0, as long as u don't mind the cruising speeds on the fwy (look into LS .714? gearing), and if your car doesn't already have traction issues, it's the way to go.. If u plan on road-racing or high-performance street driving , then get the LSD.. With my measly setup (off the bottle, roadracing), my peg-leg diff is burning out all day thru turns.. If I upped the FD (numerically), without limited-slip, I'd really be screwed.. Right now, (on the bottle, drag), I get no traction until 3rd gear on drag radials, so the FD wouldn't help me too much in the 1/4, but I can't stress enough that it'll do wonders on the street and circuit..
