Default 99 EX HEAD

i have a 99 hx. i was wondering if i put the ex head on it would it make any difference??? i been looking everywhere for the tranny but my friend just offered the head so i wondered if it do much for my car.

I doubt that you'd notice. The HX is is awesome in its own right. Swapping the tranny will make a MUCH bigger difference.

swap the head and the tranny

the y5 head and ecu are more trouble than they are worth

I would'nt pay any more than a 100 or 200 for the head. if he's your friend he should hook you up for a bill. but yeah it will make a big difference but you will have more money to put in it. head gasket ecu and wiring harness, or you could just tap your vtec wires but thats on you.
