Default EF interior noise

How do you guys feel about the interior noise in the EF, and what have you done to help quiet down the interior noise? My interior is just loud on the freeway, and sounds scary when i run over potholes. i figure suspension mods kind of add to the noise and annoyances, but as far as wind and road noise, what have you guys done? turning up the music is not a solution for me.

Slowed down so the riced out 94 Del Slow with a stock single cam and his obnoxious weld on muffler behind me can get up the gusto to make an attempt at a fly-by. - Darrell

Road noise:
-try insulating under the carpet?
-try slapping more of that sound deadening material?

Wind:
-try replacing the weather stripping?

Squeaks:
-try re-welding the seams?
-replace all bushings?

There are some ideas for ya
(FYI this is not guaranteed to solve all your sound problems)

can't run away from an old car, but try to disguise it with sound deadening material and a quiet exhaust

All I had was rattles and exhaust noise.
To fix the rattles i took out my interor and whereever 2 pieces met i put black tape between the metal and the plastic, and also coat your clips in black tape, they will fit tighter and not rattle, and for the exhaust, your SOL

squeaks and rattles are part of the game... if you didn't want a squeaky car then don't get a 15 year old automobile

i just always have the stereo on, then drive every once and a while in silence to make sure everything's running ok. If I ever lost my stereo, though, I think I may lose my mind. I have about 5-6 individual interior rattles. Like Chinese water torture. Crank up the rock.

When I first got my car, it had no radio or anything. Drove me INSANE while driving to school at 6.30 in the morning. Finally friend loaned me a tape player out of her 92 teg. Combined with a $9 tape converter, I have MP3 now lol.

I love how my car squeaks when I go over bumps. It just adds to the experience. I drove a 2 year old car before my EF and I definitey prefer the 13 year old car. It does feel like the car is talking to you.

Mine is pretty quiet, except of course the hatch rattle, that comes free from the factory, but everything else is pretty nice, I'm on stock engine and supension, and full interior, so NVH isn't bad at all.
