I have an exedy stage 2, and yes they do say NKK on them. Mine did say exedy on the box as well however. If I remember right NKK may make the exedys but the exedys are a higher end clutch. Similar to Honda/Acura or Toyota/Lexus etc... Look for more opinions though because I'm not positive any more.

i am at work and can not access it right now but i will later this afternoon.

i also thought it to be daiken.

hopefully i can get my money refunded if i send it back. i have already emailed the guy. from what i can tell so far is he is a nice guy, and has 99.9 % feedback on ebay out of around 700 comments.

btw the address does not show pics of the product that i have, its a pic of an exedy clutch and a link to description of the exedy stage one organic clutch.

the item was on ebay, however it was purchased out of ebay since the seller did not at the time support paypal i did not bid on it until i confirmed that he would take paypal.

he was nice enough to setup a paypal account and give me the item at the auction price.

so it was not directly via ebay.

You should watch what you say. Many in the Racing forum happily use the exedy organic clutch with great results and long wear. Learing to shift may help your cause.

before i goto the next step i still want to give him the oppurtunity to correct his mistake. however so far by the response of his last email, he pretty much bluntly put that he could not do anything after the transaction has been made.

i have yet to recieve a respone to the latest email i sent him earlier today.

here is a link to the item:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...=WDVW

any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

that clearly says exedy stage 1 organic clutch- if what you have isnt an exedy stage one organic clutch then there are some problems and i think there definitly are some actions that you may take in order to A, get oyur money back or B get the propper clutch. im not very knowledgeable on the whole ebay thing, but is there any way you could sue the guy for not gtting what you payed for? under false advertising laws?

I feel bad for you, because eBay clearly states that they do not allow you to buy something to someone you contacted on eBay, without using eBay services.

They don't make a profit out of the transaction you made with this seller (unless he relisted and you bid), so why would they bother helping you out... It's like I'm selling you something on H-T, standing from their point of view, they're just not part of the transaction.

Could you post pics of it? That would help out identifying what you've got. I am using this clutch since 3 years, obviously I dont remember what was written on it, but I could tell if they are similar.

if it does not have exedy (daiken clutch) on the box or on the clutch itself it's not a exedy clutch...

Honestly to tell u this one of the guy i kno hes a honda mechanic with 94 gsr bought the NKK clutch somewhere here in so cal rosemead, ca and put em on and he said it is pretty good clutch for a very cheap price. this guy built his own b20 vtec, and my friend jdm itr swap as well... so im pretty sure nuttins is bad with NKK, u might just paying wit brand names.. so far theres no bad reputation against NKK....

So really you screwed yourself because the auction states NKK. Personally, I'd just install it. It probably isn't much different from the Exedy.

BTW, NKK is Nippon Clutch Co., LTD
Look -> http://www.nkk-clutch.co.jp/english/index.html

Also note the typo on their main page, heh. "Nippon Clucth Co.. LTD"

Footnote: Beware eBay, Pay attention to details, Prices too good to be true usually are.

Wtf is exedy/nkk supposed to mean? Aren't they two different companies? And NKK isn't mentioned anywhere else on the page, all the other references say Exedy Organic. Plus he verified with the seller that it was the exedy organic. Sounds like he did everything he should have, just got screwed. Good luck man.
