Default Ls tow-away

Today I started my car and the rpm's were jumping up and down a lot quicker than usuall. I put the car in gear (automatic [D4]) and it took a lot longer for the car to budge. So 2 blocks later the car wont leave first gear and just red lines. It also has a problem with me letting off the gas. It starts making grinding metal on metal noises and drops to N.

I called AAA and they towed it to Acura for me. My friends Dad sugested it was the "shiffter mudual". I would love to know your guy's expert advice so I don't get scammed out of money on **** the dealship trys to sell me. Thanks a lot - Mike

I would check / change the tranny fluid, yours might be all burnt up. Thats why its not leaving first.

check the fluid first, other wise you've got some major slippage going on.

but, the revs jumping up and down is odd... that has only happened to me when i got a little moisture on the 02 sensor( car sat for two weeks in the snow...i was in the sun). and it would quit when the car was put into drive or reverse( i also have an auto). drove the car for a while and the revs were fine in park or nuetral.

sounds like you need a fluid change, but i'm afraid they're going to find some broken pieces in the fluid.

I checked the fluid right when I noticed the problem and it apeared ok. The dealership still hasn't called me back so i'm crossing my fingers there wont be any massive problem ie borken **** in the fluid
