Default SOHC ZC HEAD ON D15B bottom?

hey wassup all, I just bought a 90 civic hatch dx and I got a spare SOHC ZC head sittin in my storage. I was wondering what everyone thought about putting that head on the D15B bottom. Am I wasting my time, or is it worth it. I am a Smog Technician so if any of u got questions about passing smog checks or anything in general IM me on AIM: HatchB18c5 THX IN ADVANCE

Yes it will fit, but you won't gain much hp unless you do MPFI swap.

If you have it laying around....then why not throw it on! It is a little more aggressive as well.....do an MPFI swap while your'e at it.

Use PM6 ecu and your SOHC ZC head along with MPFI swap.

You'll prolly have around 105-110 HP since sohc zcs had better cam.

To do a MPFI swap you need the manifold with everything on it, injector resister box, 88-91 Si ECU, 88-91 Si dizzy, and you need to rewire stuff I dont have the exact directions but you can find them easy, also search Ebay you can buy a whole wiring kit for it thats real nice and comes with the resister box as well good luck My friend spent about $100 on his thats because of buying all the wiring and not doing it on his own, and he had the manifold and all.

I know this is a diff question, but it's not far off.

What about a dohc zc head? Or even a d16a1 head? do they just bolt on as well? of course along w/an mpfi swap.

the DOHC heads will not fit. And its kinda poineless to get a si ecu casue VTEC wil not activate. Unless you get a vafc too.

i believe he's talking about a non vtec zc. i dont know if the dohc zc/d16a1 (86-89 integra) would fit as well as it is d-series, but the si ecu would help. i had the pg7 (87-89 integra) ecu on my sohc zc and it worked fine but the gain isn't that significant.

Seen it done before. 89 integra head on A6 bottom. Met the guy at Palmdale, he said he modded a few things here and there, i forget exactly what he said. Also said it wasnt worth it. He just did it cuz he had everything laying around. I had to get it on film....now i have to go find that tape.
