i'm searching high and low for a car that has a strut (not shock, but strut for a macpherson strut set up) that has a OD of 42mm-43mm so it can fit into my front wheel hub bores on my 1979 civic 1200 project. it has to be a round sturt, not the kind that has brackets for two bolts.

i want to get off the shelf koni yellows for it.

does anyone have OD mesurements from say a RSX front or rear struts? how about a MR2 or modern VWs?

also, i would prefer that the whole sturt assembly be under 12 inches.

i would get full custom koni struts, but it is a bit much for a street car.

Did you look at the 84-87 Civic? I think it's 42mm...I know the rear is, at any rate.

I just checked my 87 Civic KONI's and the fronts are 46mm. Sorry.
