my buddy has a 92-95 lude with the h23a1 motor in it. the oil and coolant is mixing somewhere cause both the coolant and oil are milky and almost the consistancy of elmers wood glue. i was thinking maybee the oil cooler was leaking cause that is the only place that i can think of that oil and coolant come in contact. any advice or previous experiences with this would be awsome. thanx in advance.
From what you are describing it could be a blown head gasket. I know of one way to check for this. Turn the car on with the radiator cap off. If you can see bubbles or if the coolant has oil in it then more than likely the headgasket is blown. Does the car overheat? Hope this helps. One more way to check is if you rent or go to a mechanic who has a device that has a blue dye in it. The device is placed where the radiator cap is and by squeezing the bulb on the device the dye is mixed with the vapors in the coolant. If the dye changes color then the exhaust vapors are leaking into the coolant and your headgasket is blown. Try both tests. Good luck.
