Specs For the SSR Professor SP1
Im not really sure this is the forum to post this in but here it goes....
I have the AEM Big Brakes on my 99 civic. The front are made so big that the only wheel that will fit over them is a 17" wheel (trust me these brakes are worth it. I like big wheels anyway) I think a 17 looks best on a civic but bc of the ssr's enormous lip Im worried that the particular 17 will not clear my brake/caliper. If anyone has these wheels could you take a pic of the inside of them or help me out...
Will the 17" SSR fit over my AEM Big brake?
Is the professor sp1 a 1, 2 , or 3 peice wheel?
How much does one wheel weigh?
What does the super black coat look like in person? Is it different from chrome?
Just a few questions I have before buying wheels thanks

17's can clear your bbk, but the sp1 might not have that much lip, because of the offset has to be different to clear the bbk. i think they are 2 piece. weight i'm not sure about, never weighed them before.

the offset wouldnt change i dont think it would still be 17x7 and 4x100 right?
What series tire is on that M3 if its 35 it looks amazing and maybe ill just go with the 18s I dunno its hard to decide but that M3 is Amazing!!! Since youve seen the super black coat in person can you tell me how it looks? describe it if you can.

it would still be a 17x7 if you wanted that size, but the offset might not be a regular +43, which fits a stock brake integra gsr. But its best to have a shop or someone who knows rims to size it up. With the BBK, your offset might be a 48 or something. (don't quote me on that)
The best way that i can describe the rims is a dull chromish color. hahhaa. Kinda like titanium i wanna say. haha, i'm not very good at describing color.

Here is the wheel in silver which I like a lot as well. I cant decide they both would look really great on a black car but below I have a lame photoshoped pic of my car with them

17x7 and 4x100 are the wheel size and bolt pattern, not the offset.
the offset on these wheels for a honda civic would be way higher than on something like that m3.
and you don't have to go with 17" wheels to clear an aem big brake kit. there are plenty of 15" wheels that will clear just fine.

I tried 16" wheels for winter and they wouldnt clear I doubt 15s will.
As far as my "porsche style civic" the sn came from when i thought about going black wheels on a black car. It reminded me of a porsche.
if i can borrow my budies digital camera ill post more. Its not much now but the mods i made are nice
I have a greddy Evo Exhaust
Tein Basic Dampers
Ingalls Camber
Enkie Bronze wheels for the winter
Fake JDM black housing headlights
Black Sparco Torinos
Injen Intake
And a Canadian Spec guage cluster.
But this forum isnt about my car!

With the 17" Professor, the wheel (up to the end of the spokes) itself is still 16", it's the outer rim (the barrel) that measures 17". For example, the 18" Prof below on the S2000, the wheel spoke is 17", but it still clears the big brakes up front. You may have to sacrifice lip to clear your big brake kit, but it's hard to know for sure, but since it's just the AEM big brake kit which uses the stock caliper, it shouldn't cause any clearance probs.
I like it do you have any more pics of your tacoma maybe closer up of the wheel to compare the black vehicle to the wheel?!
All the cars posted look awesome I really do fancy this wheel!

??? No, I don't think you need 18's to clear. I think the 17's will clear your brakes.

ya, basically the lip is an inch. Face is a 16....lip is an inch = 17".
i think have a few more pics of the sbc color.

the problem really lies on the inside of the wheel on every wheel ther is that buldge where the diameter isnt 17 inches. That is where my caliper hits. It's fine on the 17s i have now but i worry bc of the lip on these wheels. If anone has a pic of the backside/inside of the wheels it would be easier to tell. The only thing AEM said is that must hae 17s so im guessing these would work but im not positive. Plus that 35 series (i think) looks really hot on that bimmer so maybe 18 is the way to go!
