I am curious what replacement parts I would use for a JDM d15b? My d16a6 is nearing the end of its life, and I am thinking about swapping in the d15b in place of it.

I don't belive that engine was ever available in a stock honda in the US so what engines timing belt, water pump, etc would I use for a d15b?

 

You can use parts from the VX motor and the D16Z6, just depending on the part.

exactly. i just finished rebuilding one, and i was able to do it using entirely using usdm parts. as a general rule, anything on the head corresponds to the z6, and anything on the block is off the vx.

 

Thanks for the replys. What did you use for a timing belt? VX? I am assuming here that the deck hight is lower for the vx and d15b engines?

 

I honestly dont remember. I bought one of them, it didnt work, so i returned it and got the other, and that worked. i dont remember the order, tho.
