Default RSR Exhaust

I did a search for RSR both under recent and archived and I got nothing. Does anyone on here have one or ever heard how it sounds? I just bought a '94 Accord and it came with an Apexi exhaust (not sure if it is an n1 or a dunk, how can I tell?) and it is super dooper loud and annoying!! I need to get this thing replaced fast! Another question...will a stock exhaust mount up to a DC Sports header correctly? Thanks alot!

Mike

Like stock as in the sound? I dont want a completely stock sounding one..I want something like a Mugen where its pretty stock at idle but when you get on it it gets pretty deep but not annoyingly loud!

It says Apex'i or something like that...It says that the the passenger side so I dont know what you mean by "left". And yes...it's very freaking loud!

Go to this link, http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/sh...ber=3 on page 2 there a pics of the rsr and on page 3 there are sound files. The RS*R is so quiet that when you drive it around normally you can still hear the high pitched whine of the engine.

yea try searching for "rs*r" or "rs r" thats how everyone spells it, it might give you a better search result...

theres a few regulars on this site with the rs*r and its known to be a sleeper look exhaust system. sound i do not know of.

if you want close to stock exhaust system's try looking at a apexi ws2 (pyrojeff H-T member) is selling one for a good price right now... magnaflow systems is a close to sleeper look also (depending on which muffler end you get)... greddy evo some says its quiet, some says things loud (dont know from personal exp.)

if you want to go a cheaper route, get more resonators for your vehicle to quiet down the existing system.

Thanks for the info Mike. I think I'll go with the rsr, I like the look of it!

The 'Dunk' series was pretty loud so I'm guessing that's what he's got. The WS has a stock sound (a touch louder) but just because the exhaust says Apex doesn't mean its quiet. It could be a custom piping job with an N1 muffler which are hella JDM loud

If you are going to go back to stock, it does fit with a DC header as the header only bolts up to the cat. From the cat back it's all stock unless there's a catback exhaust on there already. Since you have an Apexi, I'm guessing that's the case.

YEah beacuse it says Apexi doesn't mean it isn't loud. The WS series isn't too loud but the N1 can be very loud.

Oh yeah I personally like Apexi a lot although I don't have one on my car right now so I say get the WS series one not much louder than stock.

Why not put a resonator on your piping to reduce the noise?? Or do you just completely want to change your exhaust setup?

Yeah I thought about doing that but I just want a different setup...I hat the sound of the n1 and I don't think muffling it is going to vhange that much. I plan on doing an h22 swap so I dont know what kind of system I need... know I will need a Prelude header but will I need a Accord catback?
