Default d16a1 /d16zc qustion

i have a friend that has dohc zc head and interals. i was thinking about puting them in my d16a1 block will this work. i also need to know if i can turbo it. i can pick the parts up for 200.00 thats intake,crank,pistons,rods,head,cams,dis, but he dosnt have the block. what kind of power can i aspect

Don't listen to dr_latino999. DOHC ZC head and internals DO work with a D16A1 block. And just to be clear, there is NO engine called a D16ZC. There is the JDM DOHC "ZC", and its somewhat similar cousin the USDM (+other markets maybe?) D16A1 from an 86-89 Integra. Your best resources for this are going to be http://www.g1teg.org and http://www.redpepperracing.com .

First, you need to be very very very specific about exactly WHICH Si block you mean. The D16A1 engine mentioned in the first post never came in any Si chassis, it only came in 86-89 Integras. However 88-91 Civic/CRX Si's came with the D16A6 engine, which is completely different. Before we waste time giving you advice on an engine/head combo that you don't have, please go read the exact engine code stamped into your block and tell us what it says. thanks
