Apexi N1 clearance problems?????
Ok I was about to order the apexi n1 but my R is lowered with H&R sport springs...about 1.5inch drop and I really don't want the exhaust to scrape and ****.....will it???any1 have problems with that...if so what other exhaust is AS good and WILL NOT scrape
The whole exhaust is using the factory mount point.......you should have no problem......but you may want to be careful about the muffler when you drive up or down the driveway/ gas station, cuz the position of the muffler is a little lower than stock one.

the front end of the muffler canister does hang pretty low.
my teg is lowered about 2 inches in th eback and it really brings the front end of the canister soooo close to the ground. I have a few scrapes on that point, but still welded closed so no problems yet.
If you can find a design that does not have such a diagonal exit angle, you will get more clearance indeed.
HTH.

you gotta also think though , i dont know if you ever seen the n1 for the integra and for other cars. . . . mine isnt angled as much as they are for civics let say . if you have a problem with this exhaust you will have the same problem with alost any aftermarket exhaust.
My R is dropped 1.5" and I have the N1, as long as you are careful you won't scrape.. With your R being that low anyways, you have to take driveways slow, so just handle with care.

is it me or does the canister seem to hang low anyways? On most 2dr tegs the tip of the canister is almost touching the bumper. On his car theres a pretty big gap
I know someone that used to have the N1 and the part where it hangs really low is the section that dips down just after going up/over the rear LCA. his car was lowered 2.25", and he never seemed to scrape.
actually my N1 canister was touching my bumper afte rI moved the B pipe around to install my short shifter... so the bumper has burnt staining on it, so it looks like the canister is far away, but actually the N1 in that pic is not even a one finger gap from the bumper
Did you guys have to cut the bumper or just leave it so that it hangs there? since i think the tip doesn't exactly fit into the groove on the bumper right... what did you have to do to make this work? I'm getting the N1 soon but my major concern is if they would have to cut the bumper and it would be too low...
.. thanks.
.. thanks.
if you get the international n1, then dont worry, everything fits perfectly, you dont have to cut anything. The muffler is kinda lo, but i never scraped on a stock type r height.
