i know this isn't the most technical thread ever but i just thoght you guys may want to knwo what you can get in eastern Canada when you know the right people.

i just made a deal for a 93 CX hatchback.....with a blown headgasket on original motor with 202 km's.....it needs a drivers side door, 2 front fenders, and a new hatch cable and has a bit of rust around the license plate indentation. small crack in windsheild.....the car is in quite respectable shape for a 93 and esspecially for $150 cdn..

how much do you think i can find those parts for ??...i am planning on going with either a JDM GSR, or a JDM D15B w/boost ......so the engine work is unimportant to me....just need to get it loking and and working right mechanically

he was asking $600....but because he knows me from high school and i have to drive 7 hours to get it then trailer it home he gave it to me for $150....i think i got a steal of a deal. ...this is my 3rd EG

i have the deal made but have not actually seen the car for myself yet./...my buddy was just there in the car and i was on the phone with him....he owns an EG too and said it was in deadly shape for the price....bit of work but a fun project....it is 7 hours away i am going on friday or saturday ....i'll post some pics when it bring her home...

i live in Corner Brook which is in Newfoundland and the car is in St.John's....opposite side of the island!!

should be a sketchy trip in the middle of winter....we had about 2 ft of snow in the last couple days.........

black exterior....grey interior (which is in great shape supposedly) CX trim level, which is essentially the USDM DX trim level D15B7. no power sterring, no a/c, no air bags.

yeah dude you got a good deal, make sure that thing is straped down when u tow it! so u dont loose it.

HAHAHA...we usually dont get but about 2 inches of snow in one year

 

A buddy of mine drives a 5th gen hatch. It has some rusts on it and had to do a swap because the original engine was blown. He bought it used. He said when the time comes to buy a new car, he will pass it onto me as a project car for all of us.

I think it is gonna be fun when that day comes.

i hope you have the BIGGEST snowstorm ever recorded tonight......hahahah, JK, man it must be nice to get f**k all snow in the winter.....the snowbanks by the sides of my driveway get about 6 or 7 ft high at least come february!!!

 

the south is the best place on earth, i couldn't picture myself anywhere else. the biggest snowstorm we have had in years past that ican remeber, we got a whopping 8 inches, we were out of school for a week. but i live where there are alot of dirt and gravel roads, so it was pretty dangerous for the school buses to get on them especially how narrow and hilly they are...good luck with ur hatch by the way man. how muchs 150 CDN compare to USD?
