Sgt-Someone told me that you could advance timing on my car. Is this something that I can do myself? Somone told me that it will lower my idle too. My car idles a little above a grand, is this normal? Thanks

I think the stock idle should be somewhere between 700-800RPM. If you still have stock cams, I think there is something wrong with it.

I Have it with Mugen Bushing kit, Much nicer than stock, Very precise when shiffting, and shorter throw than stock

I'm still running stock cams. ****! What could be wrong if my idle is to high? Anyone?

Typermsm- Mike how much is the C's going for? Is $200 used a good price for one?

Thanks

Vic---- which acura dealer do you go to? Depending on who it is they should take a look at the car since it is under warranty.....

You are brave if you take it to a dealer LOL

Regarding advancing the timing, that will make the idle go up.
Get someone with a timing light to see where you are at now.
Sometimes you dont have to advance it at all.
Regarding the high idle, that can usually be solved easily.

C's Short Shifter is $300, so $200 is a good price used, I'd probably do the Mugen bushings too.
