I would add a cam, get a bigger turbo, and get some valve springs and retainers just because its better to be safe than sorry. What size rod bolts, 3/8" or 7/16"??
Other than that
Other than that
i went with this turbo size for a decently quick spool. will it not support 400 ponies.
how do i tell what size rod bolts i have.

The turbo is not good for 400whp. I have a T3 50 Trim w/ .48 a/r as well and its only good for about 260whp or so. It does spool nice though. I enjoy having 210wtq at 4k rpm.

i dont agree.
i made 237 at 9psi.. with this turbo and a log style manifold

That is a T3 50 trim. This is a T3/T4 50 trim. It CAN suport 400whp, but it will be pushing the limits of the turbo. I'd say between 27-30psi to get to that level.

That's what I was going to say... I would think it's possible to reach your goals with this turbo but you are really going to have to wind that sucker up!
Nice set up by the way

so should i worry about the stock rev. or will i be fine as long as a feed it some boost
i would be happy with 350whp too. 400 is a little much for the street anyway.

Really? Sounds about right to me with stock head. I'm not being critical of your assesment, I'm just wondering what a setup like that should be making.
I'll be running a 57 trim t3/to4e and I would be more than happy if I was making 325 hp.

I would definatley get the springs and retainers, thats my next priority on my semi built d series because shifting at 7k with our longer trannys sucks when you have turbo lag. My t3/04b .63 ar does not hit full boost (15psi) till close to 5500 and with the d series tranny its drops to about 4500rpm when shifting and my boost falls to 10psi or less each shift and has to re-spool. If I could only shift a little higher it would make a significant differnece.
Also which act clutch do you have? A lot of the d series clutches dont seem to hang in there as well once you start making real power. My act hdss slipped bad once I turned the boost up and my new 6 pucks holds but I am still not too confident in it and I am worried it may be starting to slip too up top. I know someone else on here had a xtss slipping at only like 275hp too which is about where I beleive am as well.

The stock Y8 cam dies off pretty early. Around 6500 (stops making power). I would recommend springs, retainers, zex 59300 cam.
