Hmm.......he would have to mix and match parts to get it to perfectly fit his chassis unless Greddy made a kit specific to the EF9.

Not trying to be a dick either. I have a turbocharged civic, and these two links gave me 95% of the info I needed to make it happen.

revhard b16a for crx kit its a bolt on kit, forget the ac, and you better have some money for a aftermarket traction bar kit, and a half size radiator, other than that, its pretty much bolt on!

Hey dood,

Didn't you used to have a Revhard kit for your B16 CRX that you eventually sold? or was it a different kit you had? what did you think about the RH build quality? I've only ever done research on Greddy, FMAX and DRAG, but never RH.

I'm thinking about ditching this whole NA deal and dropping a turbo in my B18C CRX. However as busy and impatient as I am now, I dont want to piece together another turbo kit. Maybe I'll order a DRAG or RH kit and just tell them to swap out the crappy parts.

The only crappy parts that come with the kit is the fuel pump and fmu, other than the build quality is great, you will have to give up your ac, get a half radiator, and a aftermarket traction bar system, other than that its pretty much bolt on, no block shaving etc..

Sweet!!! so you ended up instaling anyways eh? you know when I saw your FS post on the kit, I thought about buying it. But at the time I didn't want another turbo car, and I didn't have enough money.

Thanks for the tip about the the kit. I'll probably give the FR crossmember and half rad setup a look. I'll also see about getting a proper EMS and fuel system since I'm not a fan of boost dependent FMU's.

well,um buying a whole kit is going to cost you twice as much.i bought every thing from people on here or ebay.all the same names just differnt parts, ive spent about $1500 and all i need know is gauges and manifold and a fmu unit, given i didnt have to buy the vafc controller but thats part of the $1500 i spent.not bad considering its parts from tial greddy turbonetics and so on.

you can seee how much the compressor sticks out, there is no way for a full size stock radiator to fit, i ended up using a 92-95 civic radiator instead, im also using a back door endtank intercooler, and because of that, if you had a full size radiator you piping would have no where to go.

yes kits are more expensive, but its alot easier, getting a bunch of piping fabbed up would of cost me 3 or 4 hundred bucks with all the bends it would take i would also lose efficiency, with this setup the path is really direct and more efficient!

Hey meng,

I had another question for you about your rad. Did you just use a OEM EG radiator or did you get a fluidyne or Koyo EG rad? I'm probably gonna buy a FR traction bar, and an EG radiator, but I dont know if I wanna go with an OEM or a fluidyne/koyo half-rad (if they even make half rads).

TIA

I'll be sure to mention to FR that I'm planning on installing an EG radiator. I think I saw on one of FR's posts in the sponsors marketplace that he now has tractions bars for full size and halfsize rads. I'll ask them though just to be sure.

Thanks

heya slowpokesi,

I just bought the revhard kit and I am kinda psyched. I have a GSR swap so I asked for the T04E 57 trim compressor, and a T3 with a 0.63 A/R. I'll probably use the FMU that comes with the RH kit for a while and just boost around 7 PSI.

I'm thinking that the only other things that I'll have to look into getting is a catchcan, ignition, battery relocation kit, FR trac-bar, EG rad, and a couple of other things. I guess I'll be hanging out in the FI forum a lot more now.
