Default Stolen 250R, Help Please!!!!!

hey guy's. This is my first thread on this site. Last April I had my race quad stolen from me (If I had known about this site earlier I would have posted sooner). At the time I lived in Prescott, AZ. which is about 100 mile north of Phoenix. I now live in Tucson. The quad has a black painted frame, with stock plastic, but the front fenders are race cut. Before it was stolen I had a buyer willing to pay $6000 for it, and it is worht every peny! It is believed that it was either taken to nothern New Mexico, or Anthem (suberb of Phoenix). There is an award for finding this quad. If you could, please keep your eyes open! my e-mail is cray_ugly_coyote@gotmail.com thankyou very much!

if it was stolen, the quad was prob parted out on ebay. plus an 87 R is no where near being worth $6000. hope you find them and keep them from taking others.

all of the mods i had done to the engine, and frame made it over 6 grand. It can smoke most banshees that i came up against, and the 450R couldnt tuch me. It was dynoed at 107 HP on AV fuel.

There is no need to lie....there is no way you made that much power. Even with a big bore kit.

no joke, 107HP? who did the work? what set up? anyother suspension mods other then the fox shocks? a curtis sparks national built 250r makes about 55-58hp i beleieve.

sucks it got stolen and i hope you find it, but an 86 r will not bring $6000. cinsidering a brand new quad is $6000.

when did you sell them? since the yfz was released last year you cant give these things away, if someone payed $6000 for a stock framed 250r they are an idiot.

that explains it, back then the R was still the best quad out there for the track, they were mainly picked up for the motor, and wiring, unless a collector picked it up. you wouldnt believe what the motors went for. ive got friends with a powervalve 250r curtis sparks motor just sitting in their shop.

I had an 87 250r that wasnt really in that great of shape and I got $3500 for it over 3 years ago. I think the 1989's are worth the most.

3 years ago you could find them for that price, but once yamaha released the yfz, and now honda has the 450r, people are just pretty much scrapping them, they cant be raced in the pro classes anymore, they wont fit into the production class at nationals, plus they are slower then the new 4 strokes out on the track. i couldnt get but maybe $3500 out of my 310, 250r if im lucky.
