Well found out today I might get a free 97 integra rs or ls because it sits out back from my boss' shop. He needs it gone and im the only one that shows interest so he might give it to me. The thing is its a recovered stolen car that was his cousins. The interior is all stripped but the dash, and parts of the engine like distributor, ecu, has a hacked engine harness. I have been in the CRX forum and not sure what I want to do to this car. I might just take the crank and block and go ls/vtec with my b16 crx then sell the shell, or I could fix it up as a track car since its gutted or make it a dd beater. The outside is in great shape and hard to decide what to do to this thing. Only bad thing is its an auto, and I also dont have much money to spend on it for a while.

 

use it as a beater and crank all the other cash into ur other car.
or if your lookin for a track car it could be a nice little experiment

 

If it's free, I'd go for it. Part it out and use what you need and sell the rest. I'd check the history of the car. Even though you said your boss got the car from his cousin and it was a recovered theft car, he might be lying and your boss might be holding a stolen car that was not recovered yet. Of course, I could be all wrong and I don't know how well you know your boss but it doesn't hurt to check up on things.

Everything come with a price, offer him 1 dollar. Even if he gonna give it to you, you have the right to argue later you paid him... a dollar lol.

 

I know the history of the car its a long story but basically the theives took the interior and the police report said it was drivable and driven to the impound. Wherever it was impounded, they stole spendy engine parts and the rims and replaced them with donuts. My boss' cousin isnt too bright and the impound yard tried to offer her like $500 and she was just gonna take them to court. She couldnt prove that they took anything so it ended up at the shop I work at and my boss dosnt want anything to do with it so he might give it too me. Basically im just waiting for a title.
