Does anyone know why the door beeper will stick on?
If I open the door and close it a few moments later, the warning beeper will stay on. The only solution I have found is to turn off, and restart the engine. From the search, this seems to be a common problem. In fact, my old Civic Si had it as well.
What causes this problem? Is there a separate door open/close switch from the one for the dome light? I have unplugged my seat belt warning sensors, but that only gets rid of the belt related beeping.
Is there a solution that doesn't involve removing all of the warning beeper circuitry?

Dug out my helms manual, there's 10 pages of troubleshooting just for the hatchback, and probably twice that for the sedan. Looks like it's connected to the seatbelt tensioning system. I'll try and post the relevant pages.
if i recall correctly. where the mirror is, if its an si, you can pop off where that cover is (where that little light up set-up is) and there is a plug in there. unplug it. should do the trick
That's what I would do, but after reading the service manual, if the door beeper is on, it means the seat belt tensioners will not trigger. I'd rather not find out the hard way that the belt tensioners aren't working.
I will do the tests in the manual this weekend, and I'll let everyone know how it turns out. (Oh, how I hate removing door panels.)

lube the door ajar switches, they are gumming up or you've got high resistance in your wiring for the switches.....even after the door is closed they read open happens on alot of vehicles.....lube/replace the switches, they will start working correctly again.
