My 91 Hatch is making a knocking/rattling sound that seems to be comming from the passenger side suspension. It has been doing that since i bought the car stock. Since the b16 swap, and lowering it got worse. I knew that i blew the shocks with some cheap *** coilovers so i replaced them with Tein SS dampers and figured that would take care of the problem. Not quit. Axels are new, bushings look ok. Not sure if it could be the hub bearing or maybe the tie rod. Any suggestions?

 

if axles/bushing look good then i'd check tie rods (inner AND outer), as well at upper and lower ball joints. Hub bearings usually make a whirring sound while driving/turning in opposite direction as affected wheel.

Well i get a little vibration in the steering wheel also. I only get the sound when going over speed bumps or uneven roads

 

I would check tie rod ends for sure. That vibration sucks
Mine are all loose and ish... just waiting to be replaced
