am i running rich?
when my car is running...it does smell excessivelly like gas....and i notice after awhile inside my windshield you can see oil buildup like the rainbow colors...i have a gsr with some bolt ons and a chip ecu....could the chip ecu be the problem?...my car also eats alot of gas...like maybe like 220 per tank...any advice or experience with this problem will be greatly appreciated
What bolt ons do you have? Your chipped ECU seems to be the culprit, as it is really the only thing you listed that can actually alter your fuel delivery somewhat. However, it's hard to say without more information.
How many miles are on your car? Did you do all the regular maintenance on it, such as spark plugs, ignition wires, cap/rotor, etc? Are you throwing any codes?

i do regular maintainence on my car....bolt ons are just like headers, intake, exhaust...plug wires...just changed spark plugs not so long ago to ngk laser platinums....ummm...thats all i can think of except for act clutch and type r tranny but i know those dont affect anything with running rich....the only thing i can think of is my chipped ecu...im thinking of rechipping it with a different setup...see if it helps...thanks for the info
Okay....it seems you are pretty stock. So I going to assume that it's your ECU. However, it could be another problem. It just seems to be your ECU.
What kind of "chipped ECU" is it? With your modifications, I'd stay with your stock ECU. Try putting your stock one back in (unless it's your stock one that was "chipped") and see how your car changes.

I have been having the same problem! I am going to set mine back to stock and just go get it tuned with my SAFC 2!
What ECU is it? For OBD-1 USDM ECU's just clip the J1 jumper wire and it will go back to factory settings.
