Default Bondo Type S Prelude Roof

Check out my old roof:

Pretty ugly, right? Yea, it was a temporary solution. That was with 1/2 container of bondo just to fill in the cracks.

I decided to redo it this past weekend. After countless hours of hack *** custom bondo work:

So now my car has that old black roof nsx look.

This job used 5 containers of bondo, 2 tubes of glaze puddy, 1 spraycan of primer, 2 spraycans of gloss black paint, and the 1 big piece of sheet metal from the previous job. I still need to buy a can of clearcoat tomorrow. Total Cost: Aprox $90

Questions and comments welcome.

The base and sh models both have a sunroof.

I'll get some dayshots tomorrow.

Bondo is very light...

I'm not really worried about the quality of the rattlecan paintjob. This isn't a show car or a permanent paint solution.

Not only is it a weight reduction, but also a weight transfer. Maybe he's more hardcore than you show auto-X pretend to be racers.

CF plugs aren't allowed in SCCA ITS, or else I'd be all for it.

What dont you guys understand? He's making his car a track car not a show car. The cars purpose is to be tracked and raced not for looks and luxury. Im sure his hobby is tracking his car.

Function over fasion.
Performance over luxury
Go over show

It doesnt look too bad. Lets see pics of the whole car.
