I really like to sell my cat back soon but with no response except negative ones, I am starting to think I might be asking too much...

Please tell me what you think, I hate to retype everything so here is the link : https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=991840

$300 + shipping? seems right for what you've done with the oem exhaust.

It might be a bit high actually. It's much cheaper to buy an entire aftermarket setup than that honestly. It's not too expensive to modify the bottleneck.

Just my thoughts...good luck regardless Rob.

The market also just isn't what it used to be 2 or 3 years ago.

Good luck with your sale though

Bottlenecking is very over-rated. I could hit up corona, and get a quality weld for cheap for 20 bucks or less. In my opinion, to pay so much for an exhaust is stupid, I can get the same gains out of a custom aluminum cheap exhaust as compared to a branded exhaust. Exhausts get wet, they rust, why spend so much on them? it's only the bling.
Sometimes you have just got to take the loss and go out, you can't make out on everything.
Just my 2 cents

I share your pain. I think it is priced fairly. If I was looking for an OEM exhaust, especially one where someone took the time to take the bottleneck out, $300 is a good price. It's about rediculous trying to sell anything on here or ebay anymore. I agree, the market isn't quite like it was for out cars like it was a few years back, but geez, I'm trying to sell all my brand new all motor project stuff on here and am getting offers like "I'll give you $400 shipped for your Toda valve springs, Portflow retainers, and JUN cams." Just hold out if you can. Somewhere a buyer will come along that will appreciate the exhaust and not try to screw you on the price.

Seems fair to me.

Hell, if I had the money, I'd buy it. Good luck.

This is very true too. I have found this out the hard way when selling parts off of my old block. No need to search the archives for prices because they're not the same today.

I've had 3 stock exhausts on my car, each time they were valued at 200-250 as part of the trade/purchase.

I really don't think you'll get more than 300 + shipping.
