Words from Mugen on there V8 engine going in the NSX!
My email I sent said the following........
I was wondering if I could
get any info if the v8 engine has any relation to a honda production vehicle
like a 2005 NSX maby? thanks!
and Mugen replied with...............
The Mugen LM 900 prototype engine is a racing only engine and could not be
used in any form in a street car. No chance of it showing up in a NSX.
Possibly the technology will
I wonder if they are just covering or if they are for real I know this engine is not streetable but possibly the block will be used? well we can all hope what do u think?

Everything I've heard says yes the v-8 will power the next NSX, 385hp, or 415 race version, at least according to every magazine.
I saw this a while ago after initial talk of a V8 in the next gen NSX. I think it was in an R&T or an Autoweek. All the V8 NSX talk was about a 4.0 V8 making 400hp and then I see Mugen tuning a 4.0 V8 for racing. And then now this Panoz thing. . .I guess we'll see.
The new issue of Autoweek states that they desperately desire a V8 in the 2003 NSX. They aren't the only ones. For now, BBSC will be good enough.

Yeah, it takes a little getting used to definitely. What's wrong with popups?
Really, it's just an evolutional change until around early '04 when the new one gets here.
