Default Help choosing wheels for my DB2...thanks.

Well for now I am going to be purchasing some inexpensive wheels while I start up my project car that I just bought 3 weeks ago.

92 Aztec Green GS-R

She is getting ready to have the body straightened out (she went through a hail storm 2 weeks ago) and a complete respray (Aztec Green). I am replacing the front fenders with JDM OEM fenders, JDM side moldings, shaving the rear wing, one piece head lights, and Honda badging.

I would like to get some Volk, Mugen or some WORK wheels for her or some super clean Enkei J Speeds (yum), but for now, the $1600+ is not readily available, and the wheels that are on her, are not my style.

I am going to buy one of the following two types of wheels, but would like to get some opinions from the board...so please, make your vote, or post another inexpensive alternative in the poll for now.

I am currently getting word on some '99 Si wheels, so if I can get those, I will ditch the idea of buying any other wheels, and rock them until I can afford some "bling" wheels.

Here are the choices (and colors) :

im not too good with trying to picture how rims would look on a car but i think the gold p1's or black grids would look pretty good on your car.

Heh...I am not too good with it, but I agree with the Gold BC's.

Thanks.

nice car, man! Let me know how much the respray and rebadging costs you since I have the same car in the same color, but my paint's pretty worn out and some previous owner did a really poor job of putting on honda emblems. BTW I have gunmetal fat fives and I really like how they look, in case you want to save some $$

Cool thanks. I am hoping that with the body work and respray, it will be $2K or less from what I have seen here in the area. And we are talking clean work, that I have seen happen, and man, I cannot wait!

About the Fat Fives...not too sure about them being painted, but I am sure I could live with them if the price was right. Hit me up on IM.

And do you have any pics of your Aztec? I have only seen one other one on here lately.

to Aztec Green.

What are these you speak of? They have a set of full polished ones? What is the "color?" I have not seen these yet? But yes, FULL POLISHED would look tight!

And THAT is why I asked. To see if I missed a type of wheel, style of wheel...so basically, to the people that like to say "Get what you like...it's your car...blah blah." I say, "Really? No **** huh?" And when it comes down to it, they will be the rims that I want, that's why I will be paying for them and not everyone else.

I don't think either wheel would look proper on that car to be totally honest...If I had to choose though, it would have the be the GT3 in white.

White with polished lip would look sweet

Those Buddy Clubs would look good. Go with what YOU want, not what we want to see on your car. Advan RG's in Bronze would look different.

all this bull **** colors are gay

the fact is if you walked into a dealership and there was a porche in there with a black hood, teal paint and bronze rims, would you buy it.

If the answer is no then why would you do that to your honda

I vote for sell or paint the hood to match and get the gt3's in 15in in silver and get an alignment
